All pendants currently available at the shop have been individually hand crafted. The pendants are made from a fine clay or porcelain and have been designed to be lightweight and comfortable against the skin. I like to create tactile pieces by layering interesting patterns and textures into the clay or glaze giving each pendant a character of its own. Much of my work is inspired by nature and earthy designs are often enhanced using my favourite stains and oxides. The unpredictable element of glazing and firing also adds to the creative melting pot, helping to achieve exciting, attractive results. After forming, drying, decorating, and finishing they are fired for a second time to stoneware temperatures. When the cycle is complete, they are removed from the kiln, polished and paired with a complimentary necklace. Every piece is unique and varies in texture, colour and pattern, even where the same techniques have been applied. Original designs combined with acute attention to detail results in a truly original collection. Perfect if you are looking for a special gift or treat at an affordable price.
